## Authentication

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `Authorization` | header | required | The key in the format `Bearer sk-…`. The following headers also work: `x-api-key` or `x-goog-api-key`. |

Viewing the catalog does not incur a charge and is available with a zero balance as long as your key is valid; key restrictions still apply. Generation cannot start with a zero balance: you need enough funds for the reserve. For each model, the array `methods` describes the supported paths and prices.

## Model fields

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `id` | string |  | Identifier for the field `model` in requests. |
| `methods[].path` | string |  | Format path: `/v1/chat/completions`, `/v1/responses`, `/v1/messages` and so on. |
| `methods[].pricing` | object |  | Price in dollars per token (`input_usd_per_token`, `output_usd_per_token`, cache) or per unit (`unit_prices`), plus context and response limits. |
| `alias_of` | string |  | For an alias, the model it currently points to. |

## Other formats

The Anthropic SDK and Claude Code read the same `GET /v1/models`. Gemini clients can use `GET /v1beta/models`. Codex CLI automatically receives the list in its own format.
