About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Seedream 5.0 Lite is ByteDance Seed’s image-creation model for turning a written brief and visual references into new or edited images. Its defining improvement is how it interprets the relationship between a request, the supplied pictures and relevant world knowledge. The manufacturer presents Lite as an advance in understanding and reasoning, rather than simply a resolution or speed upgrade.

Visual reasoning before drawing The model can use an image as a problem to interpret, not merely a style sample. This is useful when a picture depends on an arrangement, an assembly or a change in state. For a teaching visual, supply the original diagram, state the change and list the relationships that must remain visible. For example: “Show the same pulley arrangement after the load rises; keep the rope path and label the direction of movement.” Treat the result as an illustration to inspect against the underlying explanation.

Information visualization Lite’s knowledge-driven image creation supports explanatory diagrams and infographics. A good brief includes the facts to show, the intended audience and the order in which the reader should understand them. Separate the content from the art direction: first provide the approved labels and relationships, then request a restrained palette, clear arrows and room around each label. For a training slide, ask for a diagram of a water-filtration process with the stages in order, rather than a decorative image of a factory. Read the finished labels and trace each arrow before putting the graphic into a presentation.

Search-enhanced creative work The maker describes an optional real-time search workflow for information that changes over time. Use it when the visual depends on current material, and keep the search question separate from the desired composition. A useful brief specifies the location, period and facts to obtain, then describes the final image. If you already have approved data, provide that data directly so the visual has a clear factual target. Search-assisted creation still needs a comparison between the selected information and the rendered wording or numbers; a plausible-looking image does not establish that every fact is correct.

Reference-based style and colour Style transfer uses a reference to communicate visual qualities that are awkward to express in words. For an illustrated announcement, supply the content image and a separate style reference, then identify which one controls the subject and which controls texture, palette or brushwork. “Keep the building and viewing angle from Image 1; use only the muted colours and paper texture from Image 2” makes the roles explicit. Review whether the source identity and layout survive the restyling, especially when the reference contains unrelated objects you do not want copied.

Targeted edits and change relationships Lite also interprets local changes and replacements while aiming to retain the surrounding picture. A precise edit brief names the desired change and the features to preserve. For a catalogue photo, request a different background treatment while retaining the object’s proportions, label and angle. If a pair of examples shows a transformation, describe that pair and ask for the same transformation on the new input. Give each image a clear role; avoid several conflicting references with no indication of priority. Compare small details outside the edited area, not only the region that changed.

Several subjects in one composition Complex briefs can assign different attributes and positions to several objects. Prepare a compact layout description: identify each object, its location, colour and distinguishing feature, then state the overall camera and lighting treatment. For a classroom illustration, specify a labelled arrangement of tools with one distinct item per position. Inspect the result position by position. The producer’s multi-subject demonstrations are examples of instruction following, rather than a promise that every count, letter or spatial relation will always be reproduced exactly.

Preparing and using the result Use a text brief for a new scene, and add reference images when identity, source structure or a particular visual treatment matters. The manufacturer’s image workflow accepts up to 14 references and can return one image or a related image set; references and generated images together must total no more than 15. Reference files can be JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, TIFF, GIF, HEIC or HEIF, up to 30 MB each, with both sides above 14 pixels, 196–36,000,000 total pixels and an aspect ratio from 1:16 to 16:1. Output choices are 2K, 3K and 4K or custom dimensions with 3,686,400–16,777,216 total pixels and the same ratio range. The producer interface defaults to 2048×2048, returns JPEG or PNG, and can deliver each completed image as it becomes ready. Download links expire within 24 hours; encoded image data is the alternative response form. These settings describe the manufacturer’s workflow. Supply exact wording for text that must appear, identify the changes in an edit and describe the expected composition. The result is image artwork for slides, explanation, marketing concepts or further design work. Keep essential factual content in a separate editable source so corrections do not depend on reading it back from pixels. The maker identifies structural stability, realism and aesthetics as areas with room to improve: review geometry, material appearance and repeated details at the size where the image will be used.

##### Keep all completed results

Save every completed image; retrieve each returned URL or decode its Base64 contents.

Retain the complete response and headers, every actual output, original returned identifiers and all usage fields. Recover the original operation without submitting creation again.

##### If the original response needs checking

Keep the returned X-Client-Request-ID for reconciliation. Read only actual returned task\_id/asset\_id values or the owned media library; never build a task URL from the operation ID and never resubmit creation.
