## [claude-3-5-sonnet-20240620](https://ailoot.ai/models/en/claude-3-5-sonnet-20240620/)

This original Claude 3.5 Sonnet edition handles writing, code work and visual understanding with a manufacturer-listed 200K context. Supply the relevant text, code or image and request a concrete artifact, such as a revision, proposed correction or chart explanation.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

This card preserves the original Claude 3.5 Sonnet edition. Anthropic’s original release describes writing, complex instruction following, coding and visual understanding, with a 200K-token context window. The dated model identifier distinguishes this edition from later Sonnet releases.

#### Work through a code change

Provide the affected code, its role in the project and the behavior expected after the change. For a bug, include the triggering input and observed error. Ask for a focused proposal and a test that distinguishes it from the current behavior. For a migration, supply the original interface and the target conventions, then request a change that preserves the relevant behavior.

The manufacturer describes coding workflows in which the model receives tools for writing, editing and executing code. Those operations take place through the surrounding application and its configured tools. Keep the actual tool results with the conversation when asking the model to explain whether a change meets the task’s conditions.

#### Read visual material for a specific question

Anthropic describes chart and graph interpretation and reading text from images among this edition’s visual capabilities. Label the supplied image and identify the question it should answer. A chart task can request the visible trend, the labeled values relevant to it and the part of the figure supporting the observation.

For a screenshot or document image, point to the relevant region and request the readable information. Supply written context when it explains why a detail matters. Retain image or page labels in the answer and check extracted values against the original source before using them in the next step.

#### Draft and revise with context

A writing prompt can supply the audience, information to convey and intended artifact: a customer response, an explanation or a revised passage. State the desired length and the facts that must survive. For a context-sensitive reply, include the customer’s question and the relevant policy or product material.

Use the listed context for the source passages, relevant earlier decisions and the current request, leaving room for the result. Keep repeated background out of the brief. This edition produces content for the requested task; dedicated document, code or website displays belong to the application presenting that content.

Practical task

### Preserve order while removing duplicates

Technical example in English

```
Preserve order while removing duplicates
Review this Python function: def unique_ids(items): return list(set(items)). Input ['b', 'a', 'b', 'c'] must retain first-seen order. Propose a focused replacement that also handles an empty list. Return the function and two assertions; explain why the original does not promise the requested ordering.
```

#### Expected result

```
A replacement function, two assertions and a short explanation of ordering behavior.
```

#### Check the result

```
The sample must return b, a, c in that order, and empty input must return an empty list.
```
