About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

LongCat Flash Chat is Meituan’s non-thinking conversational model in the LongCat Flash family. The maker describes a mixture-of-experts architecture with 560 billion total parameters and dynamic activation of 18.6–31.3 billion parameters, averaging about 27 billion per token. Its training develops text reasoning, coding and agent workflows, with a context extended to 128K.

#### Prepare a clear conversational task

Give the question, relevant source material and expected result. For an explanation, identify the conditions and conclusion to establish. For a coding task, provide the relevant source and required behavior. Ask for a final artifact that can be checked against the input.

Keep source identifiers and important task conditions in follow-ups. A correction to one fact or step should remain visible rather than silently changing the problem the answer is trying to solve.

#### Use the maker’s conversation and tool pattern

The maker documents first-turn, system-prompt and multi-turn conversation templates. It also supplies a tool-call pattern containing a function name and arguments, with each call wrapped separately. A surrounding application interprets the model’s selected call, executes the function and returns an observation.

For a tool-assisted task, give the functions clear purposes and use their actual results as evidence for the later answer. Several selected calls remain distinct operations; their completion is established through the application’s observations.

#### Keep architecture and task limits separate

The maker’s dynamic computation design allocates different active capacity according to the context. That describes the model architecture, not a guaranteed response speed or concurrency allocation for an individual request.

Use the selected interface’s documented input and generation controls, with relevant material within the working context. Keep the Chat identity distinct from a separately named reasoning edition or a later LongCat profile. The returned text or code should be assessed through the task’s actual sources and execution results.

Practical task

### Explain a queue's ordering defect

Technical example in English

```
Explain a queue's ordering defect
Explain this queue behavior to a junior developer: the program appends new jobs to a list, then removes jobs with pop() without an index. Jobs A, B and C were added in that order. State the processing order, explain why it differs from first-in-first-out, and show a small correction with a three-job check.
```

#### Expected result

```
A brief explanation, corrected Python queue example and assertion for the expected job order.
```

#### Check the result

```
The explanation identifies C,B,A as current behavior and verifies A,B,C after the proposed correction.
```
