## [MiniMax: MiniMax M2-her](https://ailoot.ai/models/en/m2-her/)

MiniMax M2-her is a text-only model for character roleplay, story-driven dialogue and multi-turn conversations. Its dedicated role and example-message formats shape both sides of an interaction, with a 64K producer context and a maximum completion of 2,048 tokens.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

MiniMax M2-her is MiniMax’s dialogue-focused text model for roleplay, character conversations and story-driven interaction. It is a separate profile from the general coding and agent-oriented MiniMax M2 model. The manufacturer develops it around coherent fictional worlds, active story progression and alignment with the user’s conversational preferences. Its input and output are text; the dedicated guide does not support mixed text-image input.

#### Define the world and both roles

The producer’s conversation format includes more than the usual system, user and assistant messages. The system role defines the model’s identity, personality and behaviour. The user\_system role defines the user’s character or persona, while group identifies the scenario or conversation group. Keep those distinctions clear when the story involves several people, different knowledge or a particular relationship.

Give the model the setting, the character’s motives and the facts that must remain true. Describe who controls the user’s actions and which choices should stay open for a reply. An illustrative scene brief is: “Continue as the archivist, preserve the established mystery and offer one new clue without deciding how my character reacts.” This prepares a responsive exchange instead of asking the model to write both sides of the interaction.

#### Examples and style

M2-her supports sample\_message\_user and sample\_message\_ai messages to demonstrate the desired dialogue pattern. The maker recommends one to three concise examples. Use them to establish voice, pacing and how narration relates to dialogue, while avoiding a long example that consumes context without clarifying the style. The examples count towards the input budget like other messages.

MiniMax’s development direction emphasises character identity, world rules, varied plot movement and user agency. State an intended pace when it matters, such as a quiet exchange, a gradual revelation or a new complication. For a revision, identify the exact line or event that breaks character or chronology and request a correction that preserves the remaining scene.

#### Maintain conversation context

The documented workflow includes complete user and assistant history in chronological order for multi-turn dialogue. That history gives the next response evidence about prior events and established relationships. Keep essential names and recent developments explicit when preparing a continuing story. Context history is supplied to the model; it should not be confused with unlimited memory outside the conversation.

The maker’s roleplay research uses dialogue synthesis and online preference learning to improve diversity, continuity and responsiveness. These training methods describe the producer model, not a guarantee that each individual story remains error-free. Review whether a response attributes dialogue to the right character and respects the physical or fictional rules of the setting.

#### Limits and the resulting passage

The dedicated M2-her guide lists a 64K context and a maximum completion of 2,048 tokens. It also documents streaming output and sampling defaults of temperature 1.0 and top-p 0.95. Choose a response length suited to a turn in the conversation; an overly long passage can displace the user’s next decision or be cut off by the completion budget.

The useful result is a character reply, narrative passage or continued scene that fits the provided setting and invites the next interaction. Check viewpoint, character agency, reference consistency and the requested ending. M2-her’s named roleplay format and limits remain separate from other MiniMax language, vision and media models.
