## [OpenAI: GPT-4 Turbo](https://ailoot.ai/models/en/openai-gpt-4-turbo/)

GPT-4 Turbo accepts text and images and returns text for document, visual and coding tasks. Its producer specification combines a 128,000-token context window with a 4,096-token output limit, streaming and function calling.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

GPT-4 Turbo is OpenAI’s GPT-4-family model for text and visual input with text output. The producer’s current Turbo card refers to the model with vision, while keeping preview names distinct. It can be used for a question about supplied documents, an image or a combination of written and visual evidence.

For a document task, supply the relevant sections and the question they should answer. An illustrative request is comparing a procedure with a set of requirements, then producing a concise explanation of the agreements, differences and open questions. Identify which source takes priority and the facts that must remain intact when the result is rewritten for its reader.

For a visual task, provide the screenshot, photograph or diagram and state the detail that matters. Include written context when the image alone does not establish the user’s goal or the meaning of a label. A proposed support reply can combine the relevant observation with a question to resolve missing information. A code question can include the implementation and the behavior to explain or change.

OpenAI lists a 128,000-token context window, a maximum output of 4,096 tokens and a knowledge cutoff of December 1, 2023. The comparatively short output limit makes the requested artifact important: ask for the answer, section or set of findings the task actually needs. Source material and the generated response share the available context.

The native producer card supports streaming and function calling, and marks schema-based Structured Outputs, fine-tuning and Predicted Outputs unsupported. JSON-mode guidance lists the GPT-4 model family for valid-JSON responses; that mode does not guarantee a particular schema. An application checks the returned fields and executes its described operations, then returns actual tool results for a follow-up.

Define the audience, tone and completion criterion. For an analytical result, separate the source facts, conclusion and unresolved condition. For an edited document, specify which meaning and terminology must survive. A useful final artifact is a focused response or section whose important statements can be checked against the original material and refined in a subsequent message.

Practical task

### Check a procedure against access rules

Technical example in English

```
Check a procedure against access rules
Compare this procedure to the access requirements. Requirements: a manager approves access before activation; access expires after 90 days. Procedure: activate access when the form arrives, then request manager approval; no expiry step is described. Return a concise gap table and a corrected sequence, keeping unstated system behavior separate from documented steps.
```

#### Expected result

```
A two-row gap table and a revised approval-activation-expiry sequence.
```

#### Check the result

```
Check that missing expiry documentation is not claimed as proof that the system never expires access.
```
