## [OpenAI: GPT-4](https://ailoot.ai/models/en/openai-gpt-4/)

GPT-4 is OpenAI’s text model for dialogue, writing, analysis and code questions. Use a focused source brief and clear output requirements to develop an explanation, document section or proposed solution within its 8,192-token context.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

GPT-4 is OpenAI’s text model for conversational tasks. It accepts and returns text. This producer profile is distinct from GPT-4 Turbo and the text-and-image GPT-4o family, preserving the standard GPT-4 model’s own modality and context scope.

An illustrative task is examining a document under a defined set of requirements. Supply the relevant passages and questions, then request the established facts, relationships and a conclusion supported by the material. For writing, define the audience, purpose and statements that must remain intact. A code question can provide the implementation and the behavior to explain or propose changing.

The current producer card lists an 8,192-token context window and a maximum output of 8,192 tokens. The source material, conversation and generated answer have to fit the available window, so the output maximum does not leave every request that much room. Include the useful definitions and conditions, and ask for the result the task needs rather than an unrestricted treatment of the subject.

The native profile documents streaming and fine-tuning. For a prompt-driven structured result, define the fields and their meanings explicitly, then check the returned text in the application instead of assuming a schema-constrained response. Keep relevant earlier facts available when a follow-up depends on them.

A useful final artifact is a focused explanation, edited passage, analytical note or proposed code solution tied to the original question. Distinguish the facts in the supplied material from an inference and identify any condition still unresolved. A specific follow-up can then clarify one issue or refine one section of the same result.

Practical task

### Clarify a guest access policy

Technical example in English

```
Clarify a guest access policy
Explain this policy to a volunteer coordinator in under 90 words: 'Guests may view event schedules without signing in. Only registered volunteers may reserve shifts. A coordinator may remove a reservation after contacting the volunteer.' Include who can view, who can reserve and what must happen before removal. Use only the supplied policy.
```

#### Expected result

```
A short coordinator explanation covering viewing, reservation eligibility and the required contact before removal.
```

#### Check the result

```
Guest viewing is not confused with shift reservation permission, and prior contact remains a removal condition.
```
