## [Perceptron: Perceptron Mk1](https://ailoot.ai/models/en/perceptron-perceptron-mk1/)

Perceptron Mk1 is Perceptron’s image and video model for temporal understanding, spatial grounding and embodied reasoning. It produces text and structured annotations for scenes, documents and visible actions, with a 32K multimodal context and optional reasoning.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Perceptron Mk1 is Perceptron’s model for image and video understanding and embodied reasoning. It analyses visual source material in relation to a written question and returns text and structured spatial or temporal annotations. Its maker profile has a 32K multimodal context and a hybrid reasoning mode that can be turned off for tasks that do not need a thinking trace.

#### Temporal reasoning and grounding

The manufacturer develops Mk1 to explain events across time rather than only label a frame. A sports sequence, a cooking demonstration or an operator’s task can produce a structured account of what happened and when. The producer documents dynamic video analysis at up to two frames per second. This sampling profile is distinct from the source video’s original frame rate.

For an event-location task, describe the action and the interval you need. An illustrative instruction is: “Identify the moments where the item is placed on the shelf, return the time intervals and explain the visible evidence for each.” Keep the source video and time references together so a clipping annotation or event interval can be checked before another application uses it.

#### Reference examples and comparison

Mk1 supports in-context visual learning from a reference image or video, followed by locating matching instances in new material. Define what makes an instance relevant and preserve the reference label. For a comparison, provide both pieces of media and state the criteria: the object, action, condition or document detail to compare.

This is a way to prepare the task through supplied examples rather than an assumption that a separate fine-tuning process has run. If the scenes differ, ask the output to identify which input supports each finding. A visible similarity should remain distinct from an inferred conclusion about an event.

#### Image and document tasks

The producer’s image capabilities include pointing, counting, text recognition and reading analogue or digital instruments. For an instrument, preserve its scale, units and readable markings; for a count, define the region and category. Mk1 also extracts complex documents into HTML, JSON or Markdown while preserving layout relationships, tables and hierarchy.

Provide a readable page image and state the fields or question. A useful result retains the source association and distinguishes the extracted wording from interpretation. Small text, occlusion and ambiguous scene evidence should be addressed in how the source is prepared and the answer is reviewed.

#### Spatial primitives and embodied work

The maker trains points, boxes, polygons, tracks and clips as first-class structured outputs alongside text. These annotations can supply targets, constraints, task boundaries or observed success/failure information to a surrounding robotics or analysis workflow. A multi-camera task should label the views and preserve the association between each annotation and its source.

The model interprets the observations and produces the grounded result; the application or control system decides how to use it and performs any physical or interface action. A proposed target or annotated interval is distinct from an executed operation or an exported media file.

#### Limits and edition scope

Budget video representation, image content, the prompt, history and generated output within the 32K context. Ask for the final artifact and the evidence that establishes each result, rather than expecting an unrelated source collection to define its own goal. Check coordinates, time intervals and extracted values against the original media.

Mk1 retains its own named edition and visual profile. Native audio input, the current Mk1.5 request constraints and its new tool and tracking workflow details should not be inferred for this earlier release. The useful deliverable is a reviewable scene description, document record or spatial/temporal annotation tied to the supplied visual evidence.

Practical task

### Annotate a transcribed event sequence

Technical example in English

```
Annotate a transcribed event sequence
Use these written observations from clip C: [00:02] hand grips a cup; [00:05] cup rests on shelf; [00:08] hand releases cup; [00:11] hand leaves frame. Return the interval from shelf contact to release and cite the two observations that bound it. State that you are using notes rather than inspecting video.
```

#### Expected result

```
A textual interval annotation with source timestamps, bounding evidence and the stated notes-only basis.
```

#### Check the result

```
Check the interval uses contact and release timestamps rather than grip or departure.
```
