About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Llama 3.1 Euryale 70B v2.2 is Sao10K’s conversational and creative-writing edition based on Llama 3.1. The creator describes one fine-tuning run over two epochs, with the datasets kept separate and ordered: conversational instructions first, followed by creative writing, roleplay and creative-instruction material. The model works with written prompts and conversation and generates text.

The release expands the earlier Euryale training mix with multi-turn conversation, additional roleplay and writing examples, system-prompt adherence and reasoning or spatial-awareness material. Its creator filters common writing and data errors, while noting that some imperfect outputs can remain. Those training choices describe this edition and do not make it interchangeable with v2.3, which uses the Llama 3.3 base.

The published configuration has 80 layers, 64 query attention heads and eight key/value heads, with 131,072 maximum positions and Llama 3 rotary scaling. Prepare the character description, relevant history and requested reply within the context used by the application. The model configuration’s position count does not establish a separate unlimited generation length.

The creator recommends Llama 3 Instruct formatting, with temperature 1.2 and minimum-probability sampling of 0.2 in the suggested setup. The release emphasizes experimenting with the system prompt and the tone of this edition. A character task should define the speaker, the relationship, the current situation and any scene facts to preserve before giving the next user turn.

For roleplay, request the named character’s next contribution and leave the other participant’s choices to that participant. For creative writing, provide the passage and explain whether the goal is a continuation, a revision of voice or a change in pacing. An explicit stopping point makes the generated text easier to use as one turn or one scene rather than an uncontrolled extension of the narrative.

Review the draft for continuity, the requested voice and the meaning of the latest instruction. The creator notes that a response can occasionally go wrong and describes trying another generation as a practical response to that behavior. Keep the established story facts and correction in the prompt so that the next draft has a defined target. This is a text-writing workflow, with output to inspect and edit.

Practical task

### A character reply that respects established history

Technical example in English

```
A character reply that respects established history
Continue as ferryman Oren for two or three short replies. He is courteous, cannot lie and previously promised never to carry royal soldiers. I play a traveller who reveals a royal badge and asks for passage. Preserve that promise, show Oren's conflict through dialogue and a small action, then leave my character's next choice open.
```

#### Expected result

```
Two or three in-character replies preserving the promise and ending before the traveller responds.
```

#### Check the result

```
Oren neither lies nor casually breaks the established promise, and the traveller's decision remains with the player.
```
