About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Hunyuan A13B Instruct is Tencent’s instruction-tuned mixture-of-experts language model for general text and reasoning tasks. Its producer specifies 80 billion total parameters with 13B active parameters. Grouped-query attention and sparse activation are part of its efficiency design. It remains distinct from the pretrained base and separately published quantized instruct artifacts.

Hybrid thinking is an explicit feature of this edition. Slow thinking is the default and produces a reasoning stage before the final answer. Fast thinking skips that stage and returns the answer directly. The manufacturer’s prompt and chat-template conventions select between those behaviors; they do not define a low, medium, high and xhigh effort ladder.

The producer describes a full context of 256K, or 262,144 tokens, while its default configuration limits the context to 32K to reduce memory pressure. Enabling the full context requires the appropriate model and serving configuration. Its recommended long-context deployment uses four 96 GB devices with bfloat16 model and cache, and notes that an FP8 cache can affect generation quality. These are producer deployment conditions rather than a promise about a particular model route.

For long-document reasoning, provide the relevant material and define the question, the constraints and the report to return. Ask for supporting passages and identify how absent evidence should be handled. For code or mathematics, include the implementation or premises and request the proposed answer with the steps or checks needed to assess it.

The model also targets agent and function-calling tasks. The manufacturer publishes a dedicated parser and agent example for its generated tool calls. The application supplies the tool definitions, executes a proposed call and returns the result. Keep the call and its observation together so the next turn can continue from what happened.

Choose the thinking behavior around the task: a direct response can serve a focused instruction, while a reasoning stage can support an analysis with dependent steps. Specify the desired final artifact and preserve the active constraints over follow-ups. Review the text, code or proposed call against the original assignment and the evidence supplied by the surrounding application.

Practical task

### Check a routing rule against cases

Technical example in English

```
Check a routing rule against cases
A workshop rule says: route wooden items to bench W; route metal items to bench M; mixed-material items require supervisor review. A draft sends anything containing wood to W. Evaluate cases 'wood only', 'metal only' and 'wood plus metal'. Return the first rule conflict and a corrected decision sequence without adding new material categories.
```

#### Expected result

```
A case analysis and corrected routing sequence preserving the mixed-material exception.
```

#### Check the result

```
The wood-plus-metal item must go to supervisor review rather than directly to W.
```
