## [SpaceXAI: Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite](https://ailoot.ai/models/en/x-ai-grok-imagine-video-1-5-lite/)

Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite generates short clips with audio from a written scene or a starting image. It supports 1–15-second output, landscape and portrait framing, and lip-synced speech. Choose 480p or 720p directly, or 1080p output upscaled from 720p; advanced reference and frame controls belong to full 1.5.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite is the simplified generation edition of the Grok Imagine video family. The manufacturer recommends it for straightforward text-to-video and image-to-video work. A written scene can become a short clip, or a supplied still can serve as the opening frame for an animated shot. The output includes generated audio, with lip-synced speech supported in this edition. Useful deliverables include a brief product movement, an atmospheric establishing shot or a simple spoken character moment.

For text-to-video, describe what is visible, what happens during the shot and how the camera should observe it. Include lighting, pace and relevant sound. The maker explains that Lite first renders an image from the prompt and then animates it; that intermediate still is not returned as a separate asset. As practical preparation, give the short clip one clear event and enough space for that event to unfold. A wide outdoor setting, a close product detail and a spoken portrait need different composition and movement directions.

For example, an original brief might request a slow move toward a ceramic cup on a quiet breakfast table as steam rises, with soft morning light and subdued room ambience. The important outcome to inspect is whether the cup remains recognizable, the steam moves naturally and the camera follows the intended direction. Keep that example’s movement simple when evaluating the shot. If a character speaks, include the intended line and a concise delivery description, then check the words and visible mouth movement in the result.

For image-to-video, the image establishes the first frame and the prompt describes what happens next. Choose a starting still with the intended subject, framing and visual details already in place. Give motion instructions that fit the existing composition, such as a small turn of the head, a gentle camera move or wind affecting fabric. The output follows the image’s aspect ratio; the separate aspect-ratio setting is ignored in this mode. Prepare a portrait crop in advance when the final clip needs portrait framing.

The documented output duration is 1–15 seconds, with an eight-second default. Text-to-video offers square, landscape, portrait and wider compositions, including 1:1, 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 3:2, 2:3, 21:9 and 5:2. Decide how the shot will be used before selecting its framing. A social portrait clip may need space for later captions, while a landscape insert may need room around the subject for an editor to cut comfortably. Keep the requested action appropriate to the clip’s length rather than compressing a long sequence into one brief shot.

Lite offers 480p and 720p output, plus a 1080p option produced by upscaling 720p. That distinction matters when planning detail-sensitive material: a larger output frame does not mean this edition renders the scene natively at 1080p. Check small lettering, product edges and faces at the intended display size. Generated videos include audio by default, and the manufacturer’s generation configuration also allows a silent result. Specify the sound intent as carefully as the visible action when the clip will be used with its generated track.

Generation is asynchronous in the documented maker interface. A request identifier tracks the work while it is pending; a completed response provides the video location and duration. The guide’s completed example points to an MP4 clip and explains that output locations are temporary. Retain the completed artifact when preparing an edit, together with the prompt, source image and chosen settings. A submitted job is still a processing step; the useful production result is the playable clip with the required picture and sound.

The edition choice follows the controls needed for the shot. Full Grok Imagine Video 1.5 adds multi-image references, selected voice references, exact first or last frames and intermediate pinned frames, and renders text- or image-to-video at native 1080p. Lite concentrates on a prompt or one starting image. The classic Grok Imagine Video edition supplies video editing and extension workflows. These distinctions help choose a model for the input materials already available rather than treating every member of the family as the same generator.

Review the completed shot for subject continuity, plausible movement, framing and the requested sound. With dialogue, inspect both the words and their synchronization with the character. When preparing several clips for a sequence, preserve the relevant subject description or starting visual in each brief and assess the joins in the edit. A well-specified short shot is easier to diagnose: the review can identify whether the next change concerns the source image, the action, the camera or the spoken line.

| Response400 · `invalid_request_error` | ConditionThe request could not be read, or the download index is invalid. | Next stepCorrect the request body. For a download, choose an output index returned by the original task. |
| Response422 · `price_unavailable` | ConditionThe selected video configuration cannot be priced. | Next stepChoose a supported video configuration and complete its required options before submitting a corrected request. |
| Response422 · `invalid_request_error` | ConditionA video input or original continuation task is invalid. | Next stepUse valid HTTPS inputs. For continuation, use your completed original public video ID with the same API key. |
| Response402 · `billing_error` | ConditionThe available balance or limits do not allow a reservation. | Next stepCheck your available balance and limits before sending a new request. |
| Response503 · `server_error` | ConditionVideo verification, storage or service access is temporarily unavailable. | Next stepWait for service availability. If you already have a video ID, check that original task instead of creating another generation. |
| Response503 · `result_pending_check` | ConditionThe original video result and charge need checking. | Next stepKeep the returned video ID and check that task. Do not send a replacement generation request while it is being checked. |
| Response503 · `owned_result_unavailable` | ConditionThe existing video download is temporarily unavailable. | Next stepCheck the same video task later and download its existing output. A new generation creates a separate operation. |
| Response409 · `video_not_ready` | ConditionThe video content has not been published. | Next stepCheck the original task status. Download after it reports completed; if it reports failed, follow its charge-check notice. |
