Seedream 5.0 is an image-generation model with text-to-image, image-to-image and related-image workflows. Ailoot Ultra exposes it as bytedance-seed/seedream-5-0 and the alias doubao-seedream-5-0-260128. Use POST /v1/images/generations with model and prompt to request an image. For a new composition, describe the subject, arrangement, lighting and treatment; for a change, explain the desired revision and the source details to retain.
For the documented image-guided URL workflow, supply image as an array of accessible image URL strings and assign each reference a role in the prompt. For example, use one image to define a product and another to show a desired arrangement, then name those roles in the prompt. A clothing-change brief can identify the person in the first reference and the garment in the second. Inspect the resulting object, garment or subject against the original rather than assuming every detail is preserved.
Related-image generation uses sequential_image_generation. disabled requests one image; auto lets the model decide whether a set is appropriate. sequential_image_generation_options.max_images bounds the requested set from 1 to 15, with a documented default of 15. For a four-season illustration series, specify the shared scene, the four seasonal differences and max_images:4. That value is an upper limit, so inspect the actual number of returned items.
The documented examples use size:2K. Optional seed is an integer from -1 to 2147483647; omission allows an automatically chosen seed. watermark is a boolean. The model documentation also lists a tools entry with type:web_search. Keep the scene requirements explicit even when using a reference or search control: for a product illustration, describe which appearance details should carry through and which parts of the setting may change.
response_format:url returns image links; b64_json returns encoded image data. This Ailoot method returns the complete image set in one non-streamed JSON response; set stream:false or omit it. Save every data[] image and retain usage.generated_images. Decode every b64_json value or fetch every returned signed Ailoot URL. Ailoot stores the completed images as owned media assets and returns signed Ailoot URLs for URL results. Find the asset records through GET /v1/media/assets?family=image and follow every next_cursor. Use each actual asset_id with GET /v1/media/assets/{asset_id} to read its content_url. If a signed link returns link_expired, read that same asset again for a refreshed content_url. Preserve the original operation and all received results when delivery is incomplete, and investigate those results before creating another generation.
