Venice: Uncensored

Dolphin Mistral 24B Venice Edition is the collaborative, system-prompt-steerable model also named Venice Uncensored by its creators. It focuses on instruction-driven conversation, with the Mistral chat template and explicit control over tone, persona and behavioral rules.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Dolphin Mistral 24B Venice Edition is a collaboration between Dolphin and Venice, published for steerable, general-purpose conversation. The creator identifies Venice Uncensored as the product name for this edition. Its central design choice is giving the application owner control over the system prompt, tone, persona and behavioral guidelines.

The producer retains the Mistral chat template and publishes a V7-Tekken instruction format. Define the assistant’s role in the system instruction and place the current request in the user turn. The card recommends a relatively low temperature, such as 0.15, for its described setup. Without an explicit system instruction, the model follows its default behavior, which may differ from the intended application role.

For a character or writing task, state the voice, setting and rules that shape the reply, then give the passage or latest exchange. For a general question, supply the relevant information and the form of the answer. A useful prompt identifies both what the model should do and the constraints that remain active over later turns.

The published text configuration has 40 layers, 32 query attention heads and eight key/value heads, with 131,072 maximum positions. The creator’s local example likewise uses a 131,072 context configuration. Those describe the released artifact and setup rather than establishing the execution window of another service or a separately converted model.

The producer’s serving recipe includes a Mistral tool-call parser. In a connected workflow, the application supplies the functions, executes a proposed call and returns the result for the next turn. The model’s ability to follow a role or generate a tool request does not by itself create an action in the application.

Prepare the final result as the answer, draft or proposed action requested by the user, and assess it against the system role and source material. The Uncensored name describes the creator’s alignment goal; it is not a promise that every instruction is followed without error. Separate precision artifacts and the application’s controls retain their own scope.

Practical task

Keep a character voice consistent

Technical example in English

Keep a character voice consistent

Act as a meticulous lighthouse keeper writing to a hurried apprentice. Rule: never leave the lamp unlit; speak in short, dry sentences. Apprentice: 'The lens is fogged and the supply boat is late. Shall I shut everything down?' Reply in three lines, suggest a cautious next step, and leave the apprentice's decision open.

Expected result

Three in-character lines that preserve the lamp rule, address the fogged lens and invite the apprentice's response.

Check the result

The keeper's advice never instructs the apprentice to extinguish the lamp and does not narrate the apprentice's decision.
