Seedance 1.0 Lite Image-to-Video is the image-to-video selector doubao-seedance-1-0-lite-i2v-250428. Use it to animate a supplied scene, product view or character image. Describe what moves, how the motion develops and how the shot should finish. For a product scene, a practical brief might request a small object movement and a slow camera approach while preserving the arrangement visible in the source image.
Use POST /v1/videos with model set to doubao-seedance-1-0-lite-i2v-250428 and a content array. Put the motion instruction in a text item, using type:text and text, and supply the image in an image_url item with image_url.url. The image URL must be accessible, or you can supply a data:image/<format>;base64,... representation. The documented image formats are jpeg, png, webp, bmp, tiff and gif. The image must be smaller than 30 MB, with width and height greater than 300 and less than 6000 pixels, and an aspect ratio greater than 0.4 and less than 2.5. Check the actual source file before submission.
The model's image-input guidance uses ratio:adaptive. For image-reference generation, the documented resolution choices are 480p and 720p; 1080p is excluded for that mode. The duration field is an integer from 2 to 12 seconds, defaulting to 5. The documentation specifies 24 frames per second. The configured request requires seed, camerafixed, watermark and execution_expires_after alongside model and content. seed ranges from -1 to 4294967295, with -1 documented as the default. watermark is a boolean, defaulting to false. execution_expires_after is measured in seconds from task creation, ranges from 3600 to 259200 and defaults to 172800. The documentation excludes fixed-camera control in image-reference mode; supply camerafixed:false for this profile. Synchronized audio generation is documented for a different Seedance edition and is not a control of this Lite image-to-video profile.
Submission returns an Ailoot id before the video is ready. Keep that exact id and follow the returned polling_url to check the same original job until its result is ready. The successful response contains a signed Ailoot link in content.video_url after Ailoot has stored the completed file as an owned media asset. Save the video with the source image, prompt and settings, and review its appearance, movement and framing across the whole clip. Find the asset through GET /v1/media/assets?family=video, following every next_cursor, and read GET /v1/media/assets/{asset_id} with the actual asset_id to obtain its content_url. If a signed link returns link_expired, read that same asset again for a refreshed content_url. If the original task expires, fails or remains uncertain, preserve its response details and investigate it before creating another generation.
