MythoMax 13B

Gryphe’s MythoMax 13B is a Llama 2-family merge for roleplay and story writing. It uses Alpaca-style prompting with a character card and a one-reply instruction, and its published configuration has 4096 positions.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

MythoMax 13B is Gryphe’s Llama 2-family model for roleplay and story writing. It combines MythoLogic-L2 and Huginn through an experimental tensor-level merge. The creator describes MythoMax as an improvement on MythoMix, with more of the writing component incorporated into tensors near the beginning and end of the model.

The merge applies a separate ratio to each of 363 tensors, with gradients shaping those ratios. Its intended balance brings together the components’ understanding and writing behavior. This is the creator’s model-construction approach; it distinguishes MythoMax from a simple equal-weight merge and from later recreations using updated components.

The producer recommends Alpaca-style prompting. A system prompt or character card comes first, followed by an instruction and an open response section. For roleplay, the suggested instruction asks for the named character’s next reply and limits the model to one reply. This leaves the other participant’s turn to the person using the conversation.

Prepare a scene with the character’s voice, the relationship between the speakers, the setting and the previous exchange. State whether the next reply should emphasize dialogue, action or a brief description, and identify any established story fact to retain. For story writing, a passage and a concrete continuation goal give the model a useful starting point. The output is a text draft that can become the next scene or be revised with a new instruction.

The published configuration has 4096 maximum positions and 40 Transformer layers, with no rotary scaling configured. Keep the character card, relevant conversation and requested continuation within that finite context. A compact record of the current scene can preserve the necessary background without repeating the entire story. The creator’s roleplay and writing focus describes this model’s purpose; it does not establish external tool execution or a multimodal workflow.

Practical task

Write one archivist roleplay turn

Technical example in English

Write one archivist roleplay turn

Write one reply as Iven, a cautious city archivist who speaks formally. Scene: a traveler offers a rain-soaked map bearing the royal seal. Iven knows the eastern bridge collapsed yesterday, but the traveler does not. Previous line: 'This road will get me there before dawn.' Include one gesture and a question; leave the traveler's action unwritten.

Expected result

One archivist reply combining a brief gesture, formal dialogue and a question for the traveler.

Check the result

The reply retains Iven's knowledge of the collapsed bridge and does not write the traveler's response.
