About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
MiniMax M2.1 is MiniMax’s language model for coding, agent workflows and application development. It uses ten billion activated parameters. Text input produces text output. The published model metadata lists reasoning, function tools and response-format controls, with a catalogue context window of 204,800 tokens.
A development brief with an inspectable result
Supply the relevant code, observed behavior and result expected after the change. For an error, retain the failing input and actual message. For a feature, identify the interface it affects and the existing behavior that must remain correct. Ask for a focused patch or the next observation needed to settle the diagnosis.
Keep source paths and related contracts with the task. When a change spans components, state how they interact and which behavior establishes that the whole path works. A clear acceptance condition helps distinguish a useful implementation from a plausible proposal.
Tools carry the task forward
Define the operations available to the application. When the selected interface exposes function tools, the model can propose a tool action and then use the returned observation to choose the next step. Preserve actual command output, retrieved passages or file results, keeping each observation associated with its source operation.
For a data-shaped answer, specify the required fields and how missing information should appear. Validate the actual returned record and its values before using it in another action. A requested answer format and a correct substantive result address different parts of the workflow.
Preserve the working state
Keep completed decisions, the latest observations and remaining questions visible in a longer task. Reserve space for the answer when preparing source material and remove repetition that no longer changes the result. A useful M2.1 artifact contains the change or analysis, the behavior it addresses and the evidence needed to assess it.
Practical task
Fix a filter that drops valid zeros
Technical example in English
Fix a filter that drops valid zeros
Review this JavaScript code: const readings = values.filter(Boolean);. The array may contain numbers, null and undefined. The requirement is to remove only null and undefined while preserving 0 and negative numbers. Propose a focused replacement and tests for [0, null, -2, undefined, 3] and an empty array.Expected result
A replacement expression or function, a defect explanation and the two behavior tests.Check the result
Check that zero survives the filter and that neither null nor undefined appears in the result.Ailoot · Anthropic Messages POST /v1/messages MiniMax-M2.1

Keep all completed results
Keep every complete returned response, file and content part.
Keep all content blocks, thinking signatures and actual tool-use IDs. Assemble all SSE block deltas; a first text block is not the complete output.
If the original response needs checking
Keep request/response IDs and headers. No generic text job retrieval URL is supplied.
