MiniMax: I2V 01 Director
I2V 01 Director animates a first-frame image with explicit camera-movement commands in the prompt. Combine the supplied composition with directed truck, pan, push, tilt, zoom, tracking or static-camera instructions to plan a short shot.
About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
I2V 01 Director is MiniMax’s image-to-video edition with documented camera commands. A supplied image establishes the first frame, and the prompt directs both the visible action and the camera. This is useful when an existing composition needs a particular approach, reveal, tracking movement or controlled static view rather than an unspecified animation.
Prepare the image as the opening of the intended shot. For a reveal, show the subject and the part of the environment that the camera should expose. For a close approach, begin with enough surrounding space to make the change in framing readable. Check that the subject’s important features are visible before motion starts, especially when a product shape or a character’s appearance must remain recognizable.
The maker accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP references smaller than 20 MB, with the short edge greater than 300 pixels and an aspect ratio between 2:5 and 5:2. An accessible image URL or encoded image data can identify the first frame in the maker’s workflow. Retain the original reference so a later revision uses the same composition rather than a recreated approximation.
The prompt supports up to 2,000 characters and includes fifteen named camera commands. Truck moves the camera horizontally, pan changes its horizontal direction, pedestal moves it vertically and tilt changes its vertical direction. Push, pull and zoom offer different kinds of approach or withdrawal; tracking, shake and a static shot cover other camera intentions. Use the documented command spelling when specifying a movement.
Place commands inside square brackets at the part of the description where the movement should occur. Several commands inside one bracket request simultaneous motion, while commands at successive points describe a sequence. The maker recommends a maximum of three combined movements. A simple push toward a subject can communicate a detail more clearly than several movements competing for the same short shot.
Describe subject movement separately from camera movement. A person walking toward a door and a camera following that person are two instructions with different visual effects. State the desired relationship between them, such as keeping the face visible during the approach or holding the camera still while the subject crosses the frame. Identify the final composition so the generated action has a useful destination.
The maker’s legacy image-to-video table lists 720P as the default for this edition and does not list a ten-second option. Automatic prompt optimization is enabled by default and can be disabled for closer control of the written brief. Keep its setting with the source image and camera instructions when comparing shots, so a changed wording or interpretation is visible in the generation record.
Review the complete clip for the requested camera path, the subject’s continuity and the framing of important details. Inspect whether a push or pan reveals the intended information and whether the final view leaves enough space for the next editing step. Save the finished video with the exact prompt, source image and settings. For a revision, change the camera direction, timing or subject action that caused the observed problem and compare the result against the same shot plan.

How the final charge is calculated
The displayed rates estimate the cost before generation. The final charge is calculated from the cost recorded for the original generation. Measured output duration and forecast quantities are not the final billable quantity.
