MiniMax: I2V 01 Live

I2V 01 Live animates a supplied image with a focus on 2D illustration, stable motion and subtle expression. Use a prepared artwork as the first frame and describe the character action or environmental movement to bring into the scene.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

I2V 01 Live is MiniMax’s image-to-video edition aimed at bringing two-dimensional artwork to life. The maker describes a focus on stable movement, subtle expression and a range of artistic styles. A supplied image establishes the first frame, while a written description can explain the character action or environmental motion that develops from it.

Prepare the artwork as the opening of one readable scene. Make the character’s face, pose and important costume details visible, and give the requested gesture space inside the frame. For a landscape illustration, decide which elements move and which establish the scene. A branch moving in the breeze, a character glancing upward or a light shifting across a room each gives the shot a clear visual focus.

The maker’s image-to-video workflow accepts JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP images below 20 MB, with the shorter edge greater than 300 pixels and an aspect ratio between 2:5 and 5:2. Use a clean reference whose linework, colors and important contours are readable. Keep the original artwork with the finished video so the preservation of the visual style can be checked directly.

Describe the motion in concrete terms. For a character illustration, state the direction of a turn, the intended expression and where the action ends. For a scene with several layers, identify whether the movement belongs to the foreground subject, the background or both. Keep a short shot focused on a sequence that can be understood without a complicated chain of unrelated events.

The prompt supports up to 2,000 characters in the documented maker workflow. Use the space for action, timing and the details that should remain recognizable. If the source is a drawn character holding a lantern, describe the hand or body movement and how the lantern behaves with it. Preserve the character’s role in the composition rather than describing a completely different scene that competes with the image.

The maker’s legacy image-to-video table lists 720P as the default for Live and does not list a ten-second option for this edition. Automatic prompt optimization is enabled by default and can be disabled for closer control of the text. Record the chosen setting along with the source image so comparisons use a known creative brief.

Review the full clip at the intended viewing size. Check whether facial features, linework and costume details remain coherent during the action. For an environment, inspect moving edges and the relationship between foreground and background. The maker’s artistic positioning makes Live a useful candidate for illustrated scenes, while the selected clip should still be judged against the actual artwork and motion brief.

Use the completed sequence as a moving illustration, a character moment or a visual element in a larger edit. Keep precise written content in an editable layout source if the scene will carry titles or captions. Save the actual video, opening artwork and prompt together. When a revision is needed, identify the observed issue—such as an excessive gesture, a drifting feature or movement that hides a detail—and change the relevant part of the brief while retaining the successful composition.

How the final charge is calculated

The displayed rates estimate the cost before generation. The final charge is calculated from the cost recorded for the original generation. Measured output duration and forecast quantities are not the final billable quantity.
