About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Nemotron 3 Ultra is NVIDIA’s open reasoning and orchestration model for sustained, multi-step work. It combines a hybrid Transformer–Mamba architecture with a mixture of experts, activating 55 billion parameters out of 550 billion total. Text is the input and output. Its published role includes coding agents, research, planning and the coordination of longer application tasks.
Plan around a concrete outcome
Identify the result to deliver and the evidence needed to decide each step. A research brief can name the question, the sources already available and the form of the final comparison. A development task can provide the relevant code, the observed failure and the behavior that must hold after a change. Keep the objective visible while the working context accumulates observations.
For several related steps, preserve which decisions are established and which remain open. Ask for a specific next operation when more evidence is needed, then continue from its actual result. This creates a useful sequence of artifacts and observations rather than a plan that becomes detached from the state of the task.
Tools and structured results
The documented hosting profile supports function calling and JSON-schema structured outputs. Define the operations the application can perform and the fields needed for a result. A model call to a tool proposes an action; the application performs it and returns the observation. Preserve that observation with the operation that produced it before using it in a later conclusion.
For a structured analysis, keep source identifiers with findings and state how absent information should appear. Validate the output shape and the values it contains. A syntactically correct record is useful when its contents also match the evidence supplied.
Long work and inspectable artifacts
Organize substantial source material into named sections and plan the request around the actual context and output allowance of the serving interface. Preserve the latest relevant observations, completed work and remaining acceptance conditions. The model’s native long-context description and a particular hosted request budget describe different scopes.
A completed task should leave the requested artifact and the evidence needed to assess it: a patch with validation, a source-based report or a next action tied to the question it will settle. Keep that state available for the following step in the workflow.
Practical task
Choose the next step in an incomplete workflow
Technical example in English
Choose the next step in an incomplete workflow
Plan the next step for this software-delivery state: the patch is drafted; unit tests passed; an integration test is blocked because its fixture is missing; no deployment occurred. The outcome requires an integration-verified export. List completed evidence, the single next action and its acceptance condition, then the remaining release gate. Do not report the feature complete.Expected result
A state-aware workflow note with completed evidence, next action, its expected observation and the remaining gate.Check the result
The next action addresses the missing integration fixture, and unit-test success is not treated as full completion.Ailoot · Anthropic Messages POST /v1/messages nvidia/nemotron-3-ultra-550b-a55b

Keep all completed results
Keep every complete returned response, file and content part.
Keep all content blocks, thinking signatures and actual tool-use IDs. Assemble all SSE block deltas; a first text block is not the complete output.
If the original response needs checking
Keep request/response IDs and headers. No generic text job retrieval URL is supplied.
