About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Qwen2.5-Coder-32B-Instruct is the instruction-tuned 32B edition of the Qwen2.5-Coder series. The manufacturer develops this series for code generation, code reasoning and code fixing, while retaining mathematics and general language capabilities. This edition’s published parameter count is 32.5 billion. Its conversational format lets a task combine instructions, source code and the result expected from the next change.
Generate code against a clear contract
Start with the interface the code must implement, the input and output types, and a few representative examples. State the language and relevant project conventions. Ask for the implementation and tests that exercise the cases you have named. If an existing helper already defines the behavior, include it so the proposal can follow the project rather than create a parallel pattern.
For a small feature, supply the affected module and explain where the result fits into the application. Request a focused change with any new assumptions called out. The model returns code and explanations; compilation, execution and integration take place in the development environment.
Explain or correct an existing implementation
A debugging brief should include the exact error, the input that triggers it and the behavior expected instead. Ask the model to connect the failure to a specific part of the supplied code before proposing a correction. A useful follow-up requests one test that fails under the original behavior and passes after the proposed change.
For a review, define the question: handling of empty input, ordering, resource cleanup or the meaning of a returned value. Ask for the relevant code location and an example that demonstrates the issue. Keep recommendations tied to the files the model can inspect, then verify each proposed change in the project.
Use long context deliberately
The model card describes a full context length of 131,072 tokens, while the published base configuration is set to 32,768. The manufacturer’s long-text recipe enables YaRN scaling for inputs beyond that base configuration. This is a serving configuration detail, so a hosted request should be planned around the context allowance of its actual endpoint.
The maker also notes that static YaRN scaling can affect performance on shorter texts and recommends enabling it when long context is required. For an ordinary code question, send the relevant interfaces and excerpts first. For a cross-file task, identify the entry point, dependencies and acceptance conditions, leaving room for the requested implementation and explanation.
Practical task
Fix a range endpoint
Technical example in English
Fix a range endpoint
Implement Python inclusive_range(start, end) returning a list of all integers from start through end, inclusive; return an empty list when start > end. The draft uses list(range(start, end)) and omits the end value. Return the corrected function and assertions for equal endpoints, a two-number range and reversed endpoints.Expected result
A Python implementation and three assertions covering the specified endpoint conditions.Check the result
Equal endpoints must return one integer, and a reversed range must stay empty.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions qwen/qwen-2.5-coder-32b-instruct
