About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
The February 15 Plus snapshot
Qwen3.5 Plus 2026-02-15 is the fixed February 15, 2026 release of Qwen’s native vision-language Plus family. Its documented architecture combines linear attention with sparse mixture-of-experts computation, supporting both text and multimodal tasks. Inputs include text, images and video; the response is text, such as an explanation, code proposal or document artifact. The dated name gives this edition a specific identity within the Plus family.
The manufacturer describes managed Qwen3.5-Plus as corresponding to the open Qwen3.5-397B-A17B model, with additional features including a default one-million-token context, built-in tools and adaptive tool use. The two offerings retain separate names and interface contracts. The open checkpoint’s exact expert counts, numerical representation and native context should not be silently converted into a complete specification for this dated Plus release.
Unified text and visual work
The Qwen3.5 family develops reasoning, coding, agents and visual understanding through early text–vision fusion and reinforcement learning on progressively complex tasks. Its family description includes 201 languages and dialects. For multilingual work, state the target language, audience and terms to preserve; for visual work, retain the labels, table headings or diagram definitions needed for the question.
A useful document request can ask for a comparison organized by the same sections as the source, with supporting passages for each finding. A coding request can combine a screenshot, the relevant existing code and functional requirements, then ask for editable source and a separate behavior explanation. For video, identify the event or sequence that matters and preserve timing. Check the returned passages, visual details and proposed code against the supplied material.
Reasoning and direct responses
The maker’s mode guide lists the Qwen3.5 Plus family and February 15 snapshot as hybrid thinking, with thinking enabled by default. The documented hybrid workflow can disable thinking for a direct response. Keep the reasoning distinct from the final artifact when the chosen interface provides both. Define a clear final form, such as a table of findings, a delimited answer or code files, so the result is easy to inspect.
The open Qwen3.5 checkpoint has its own history and sampling guidance. Later Qwen generations also introduce different reasoning-preservation defaults and controls. Follow the exact Plus interface recipe instead of assuming that a prompt marker, parameter container or history behavior carries across every edition with the Qwen name.
Tools and adaptive work
The producer’s Plus reference describes built-in and adaptive tool use. A task can let a connected workflow retrieve evidence, inspect provided material or return results of permitted operations. State the available tools, allowed actions and observable completion condition. The model can use actual feedback to revise its analysis and select the next step; the application performs external actions and supplies their results.
For an agent task, ask the final report to show the resulting artifact, supporting evidence and unresolved conditions. Distinguish a proposed patch or retrieval query from a tool result that was actually returned. A request for JSON-shaped text does not by itself establish a schema-enforcement contract, and a request to run code does not independently create an execution environment.
Long-context preparation
Qwen’s managed Plus reference describes a default one-million-token context. Keep document boundaries, code identifiers and definitions visible in a large input, and reserve space for reasoning and the final answer. Use the managed Plus context allowance for this workflow; the open 397B checkpoint has its own native and extended limits.
For a long comparison, narrow the question to the required decisions or relationships and ask the model to cite the supporting section for each conclusion. The context allowance can place more evidence together, but a clear source structure is what makes the answer traceable. Retain the dated edition name when reproducibility matters.
Practical result and limits
Use this snapshot for a concrete textual deliverable grounded in supplied project or visual material: an implementation proposal, a document comparison or an explained answer. Check small visual labels, calculations, quoted text and code changes against the original evidence. The documented model scope is text and visual understanding with textual output; it does not imply generated images, video or speech. Exact tools, upload rules and output allowances should follow the selected interface rather than an assumed equivalence with another checkpoint.
Practical task
Compare document retention clauses
Technical example in English
Compare document retention clauses
Compare sections A and B. A: 'Keep delivery logs for 30 days; retain disputed deliveries until resolution.' B: 'Delete every delivery log after 30 days.' Return the shared rule, the conflict and a revised B that preserves A's dispute exception. Cite the section label beside each finding and leave other retention categories unspecified.Expected result
A section-linked comparison and a revised clause preserving the dispute condition.Check the result
The revised clause must not delete an unresolved disputed-delivery log merely because 30 days passed.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions qwen/qwen3.5-plus-02-15
