About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
The Qwen3.6 Plus family
Qwen3.6 Plus is a native vision-language model family for coding and multimodal work. The maker’s release emphasizes improved agentic coding, frontend programming and visually informed development, together with general object recognition, OCR and object localization. Its useful output is text: an explanation, code proposal, extracted information or a report tied to the supplied evidence.
The official release lists qwen3.6-plus and qwen3.6-plus-2026-04-02. This record retains the requested Plus family identity rather than converting it into a fixed snapshot. The family description does not identify it as the open Qwen3.6-35B-A3B checkpoint or assign that checkpoint’s expert counts, weights or numerical context limits to Plus.
Agentic and frontend coding
For a frontend task, provide the visual reference, functional requirements and relevant existing code. Describe the states, interactions and output files expected at completion. Ask for editable source and a separate explanation of how the proposed behavior satisfies the requirements. For a repository task, supply the relevant modules and an input that demonstrates the issue, then request the affected changes and the checks needed to review them.
A coding agent can use actual feedback from the connected environment: inspection results, observed errors or review findings can guide the next step. State the goal and permitted actions and ask the model to distinguish a proposal from an executed result.
Visual recognition, OCR and localization
The release documents stronger object recognition, reading of visual text and object localization. Supply a clear image with a concrete question and identify the target object or fields. For a page, request named fields with supporting page or region references. For an interface, ask which visible element corresponds to the user’s goal. Keep the application’s coordinate convention explicit if it consumes a location result.
The family’s vision-language scope combines text with images or video and produces textual responses. Label separate visual inputs and preserve video order and timing when the question depends on a sequence. A localized object or a plausible OCR result should be checked against the original material; those capabilities do not guarantee exact counting, perfectly legible transcription or calibrated physical measurements.
Thinking and reasoning continuity
The manufacturer’s mode guide lists Qwen3.6 Plus as hybrid thinking with thinking enabled by default. Its documented hybrid workflow can produce a direct response when thinking is disabled. Keep reasoning content and the final result separate when the chosen interface supplies both. Select a clear final form, such as a code artifact, evidence table or concise conclusion, so a longer explanation does not obscure the deliverable.
The Qwen3.6 family also introduces preservation of historical reasoning for iterative work. That family capability is useful when prior decisions remain relevant after new feedback; the exact Plus control contract should follow its own interface. It should not inherit an open checkpoint’s default or parameter container without explicit documentation.
Tools and long material
The family’s coding-agent description involves tools and environment feedback. An application supplies the actual tools, runs permitted operations and returns their observations to the model. A task can request a report linking each conclusion to a document passage, code identifier or visible element. Tool support in a connected workflow does not itself establish built-in access to current sources or an execution environment in every interface. The manufacturer lists function calling, structured outputs, web search, prefix completion and context caching. Batch inference is supported for the Beijing alias and unsupported in the other listed regions; fine-tuning is unsupported. The maker describes the alias as functionally equivalent to April2, while the snapshot’s separate table excludes caching and batch inference.
Alibaba’s dedicated Plus table gives a 1,000,000-token context, maximum input of 991,808 tokens for direct responses or 983,616 for thinking, maximum output of 65,536 in either mode, and a separate chain-of-thought allowance of 81,920 tokens. Retain document boundaries and relevant code paths in a long input, trim unrelated evidence and reserve space for the required answer. Do not copy the open 35B-A3B model’s native or extended context figures into a universal limit for this family.
Practical result and limits
Useful outputs include a screenshot-informed implementation proposal, a repository change explanation or a document field table with supporting evidence. A request for JSON-shaped text does not establish an enforced-schema contract, and a proposed command is not an executed action. Verify extracted text, visual locations and generated code against the supplied source. Preserve the Plus identity and keep the chosen alias or dated edition, documented producer limits and returned tool results explicit when reviewing the artifact.
Practical task
Repair keyboard access to a disclosure
Technical example in English
Repair keyboard access to a disclosure
A disclosure uses a clickable div to toggle its details panel. Provide a small HTML/JavaScript replacement using a native button, preserving the label 'Delivery details'. The button must expose expanded state, control the panel and work with standard keyboard activation. Include a short review checklist for closed and open states without claiming a rendered result.Expected result
A bounded disclosure component proposal with synchronized expanded state and a two-state checklist.Check the result
The control is a button, its expanded value matches panel visibility and its label remains unchanged.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions qwen/qwen3.6-plus
