About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Qwen-VL-OCR is an OCR model built on Alibaba’s Qwen-VL technology. Its maker profile brings image-text recognition, parsing and processing into one model, with text as the output. Use it to turn visible source text into material that can be searched, reviewed or entered into a document workflow.
Prepare an image that preserves the text
Use a clear page image or a focused crop with the text fully visible. Keep the orientation readable and include nearby headings when they determine the meaning of a field. Retain a page or image identifier so the transcription stays connected to its source.
Request the extraction you need
State whether the task needs all visible text or a named region. For a form, identify the fields that matter; for a document page, retain the reading order and paragraph boundaries in the requested transcription. Ask for uncertain characters to be marked so they can be checked against the image.
Review text against the image
Check names, totals, dates and small print before placing the result in another system. Keep this general OCR profile distinct from the separately named dated snapshots when recording an evaluation or a result.
