About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Qwen3.7-Max 2026-06-08 is Alibaba’s named June 8 snapshot of the Max model in the Qwen3.7 family. Its defining edition change is visual-modal understanding added to the May 20 snapshot, supporting interaction grounded in real-world scenes. It accepts text, images and video and generates text. The family’s agent-focused purpose covers programming, office and productivity work, and sustained tasks that combine instructions with tool results.
The edition matters for visual assignments. The undated Qwen3.7-Max name is documented as equivalent to the May 20 text-only snapshot, while June’s exact model table includes image and video input. For this model, a screenshot can accompany a code task, or a video can supply the scene that a written instruction asks the agent to analyse. The output is an explanation, code, a structured record or a tool-call instruction rather than generated imagery, video or speech.
Alibaba’s thinking guide explicitly lists this June snapshot as hybrid: thinking is enabled by default in the producer workflow and can be disabled for a direct response. Thinking mode produces reasoning before the answer and requires additional reasoning time. The guide separates reasoning content from the final answer and supports preserving supplied historical reasoning across turns for this exact model. Retained reasoning becomes part of the next input, so a continuing task must budget it alongside the conversation and source material.
Function Calling supports a task in which the application supplies a question and definitions of available tools. The model returns a selected function and its arguments; the application runs that function, adds the tool result to the conversation and asks the model to continue. For a coding assistant, define the repository-reading or validation tool precisely and ask for the completed change plus its supporting result. Describing a tool is different from executing it: the surrounding application provides the access and performs the operation.
The June snapshot also lists Structured Outputs, Web Search, Prefix Completion and Context Caching. These support defined output records, search-assisted work, continuation from a supplied beginning and reuse of a common input prefix in the manufacturer’s workflow. For a recurring analysis, keep the stable document or task instructions at the beginning and place the changing question after them. Cache reuse depends on that workflow’s conditions; the fact that the model supports caching does not establish a hit for a particular request. Batch inference and fine-tuning are marked unsupported for this edition.
The exact June table gives a context window of 1,000,000 tokens. Maximum input is 991,808 tokens in the regular profile and 983,616 tokens in thinking mode; maximum output is 131,072 tokens in both profiles. These are distinct context, input and output limits. Large source material, conversation history and visual content must still fit the applicable input boundary, and the output ceiling does not require an answer to use that much space.
For a practical interface task, supply the screenshot, relevant source fragments, desired behaviour and an explicit deliverable. An illustrative brief is: “Use this screen and the attached component text to explain why the form’s labels do not match the workflow. Propose a focused code change and list the visible elements that motivated it.” For a document or productivity task, give the source sections, desired final record and criteria for deciding what to include. Number separate images and describe their relationship so the text result can refer back to the evidence.
For video analysis, identify the event or sequence you need, request a concise description and preserve timestamps in the prepared input when the result must identify a particular moment. For Alibaba’s file workflow, a URL image can be up to 20 MB; URL video can be up to 2 GB and 2 seconds to 2 hours. Base64 video must be smaller than 10 MB after encoding. Keep file limits separate from the token budget. If audio is essential, provide a transcript as text; this snapshot’s input table does not list audio. In a longer agent task, specify the final artifact, the permitted tools and what result should count as completion. That preparation directs the model toward a reviewable textual deliverable rather than an open-ended sequence of intermediate suggestions.
Practical task
Prepare an office task handover
Technical example in English
Prepare an office task handover
Prepare a handover from these work records. [Draft] Budget note completed. [Review] Manager requested a supplier quote before approval. [Quote] Supplier sent prices but omitted shipping. [Schedule] Meeting is Friday. List completed artifacts, the unresolved approval dependency and a focused next request. Preserve the record labels and avoid claiming the budget is approved.Expected result
A source-labelled handover with completed work, the shipping-cost dependency and a proposed supplier question.Check the result
Verify that a finished draft and received quote are not treated as approval or a complete total cost.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions qwen3.7-max-2026-06-08
