Recraft: Recraft V4.1 Utility
Recraft V4.1 Utility generates 1K raster images for straightforward product shots, mockups and simple scenes. It favours flat lighting and front-facing composition, with text prompts and optional image or style inputs for a predictable visual direction.
About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Recraft V4.1 Utility is the standard raster Utility model in Recraft’s V4.1 family. It favours simple scenes, flat lighting and front-facing composition rather than the main V4.1 model’s more expressive angle, light and mood choices. Its practical role is a clear product shot or mockup in which the object and necessary details should dominate. The exact Utility edition is separate from Utility Pro, the main V4.1 model and the SVG-producing vector variants.
The producer model code is recraftv4_1_utility. It returns 1K raster images in lossless WebP or PNG, with sizes selected from the supported aspect ratios. A square image is 1024 × 1024 pixels and a 4:3 image is 1216 × 896. The Pro Utility edition uses larger 2K dimensions, so those output sizes should not be assigned to standard Utility. Select the shape of the intended listing or mockup before describing the scene.
A useful brief names the product, viewpoint, material, surface, background and lighting in plain terms. For a product listing, request a front-facing insulated bottle on a pale backdrop, evenly lit, with the entire silhouette visible and no distracting scene elements. If a product has factual dimensions or distinctive parts, supply those details explicitly. Utility’s preference for straightforward presentation does not establish facts about a real product that were absent from the brief.
Generation supports prompts up to 10,000 characters, preferred-colour and background-colour controls, a random seed and one to six outputs. Optional compatible custom styles or reference images can guide a catalog’s visual language. Use reference assets that agree on lighting and rendering, and retain the same compatible style for subsequent product briefs. Exact reference-to-output colour matching is not guaranteed, so compare the final visual with the required palette. For reference-style generation, use one to ten PNG, JPG or WebP images, no more than 64 MB in total and under 20 MB each. Each reference needs a shortest side of at least 256 pixels, a longest side of no more than 4,096 pixels and a resolution of no more than 16 megapixels. Use either these references or a compatible saved style, rather than both. For reference-style generation, flexible matching allows a looser interpretation, while precise matching follows the rendering, palette, composition and lighting more closely.
The separate image-to-image workflow uses an existing image and a prompt, with strength from 0 to 1 controlling the extent of change. Lower strength keeps the result closer to the source; higher strength lets it move further away. Its input can be PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG under 20 MB, up to 16 MP, with sides between 256 and 4096 pixels. V4.1 custom styles are not accepted in that transformation operation, which is distinct from attaching a style reference to a new generation.
V4.1 Utility does not accept curated style names, negative_prompt, text_layout, artistic_level or no_text controls. Give the desired finished scene directly in the positive prompt. For a series of product assets, keep framing and background instructions stable, then compare each image with the supplied product shape, material and details before using it in a layout. Standard Utility is a focused raster tool for a restrained presentation; choose the specific output format and edition to match the task.

How the final charge is calculated
The displayed rates estimate the cost before generation. The final charge is calculated from the cost recorded for the original generation. Measured output duration and forecast quantities are not the final billable quantity.

Ailoot reserves an estimated amount before a request. After the result, it settles the final charge from measured usage. Streaming settlement uses the final usage record. How reservation and settlement work →
