About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Fast speech for interactive responses
Speech 02 Turbo is intended for interactive speech synthesis. The manufacturer describes a combination of speed, consistent rhythm and natural sound; uses include voice responses, game dialogue and interactive content. The model receives text and produces speech audio.
Choosing the vocal character
The Speech 02 family allows voice, language, accent and emotional coloration to be combined. The jointly trained autoregressive Transformer and speaker encoder connect timbre with content. Text can be synthesized with a prepared voice; creation of a new cloned voice is a separate preparation process.
The model selects emotional intonation from the text itself or accepts a specified state: joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, surprise or calm. Speed, pitch and volume are also controlled to align a line with the desired interaction pace.
Languages and word pronunciation
Russian speech and other languages are supported, including English, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Arabic and Ukrainian. The current Speech 02 specification specifically excludes Persian, Filipino and Tamil.
Pronunciation can be refined through a replacement dictionary, international phonetic notation, Chinese pinyin and Japanese reading variants. Pauses between spoken sections are set within 0.01–99.99 seconds. Pause duration is specified to two decimal places; markers are placed between spoken passages and not consecutively. The model provides speed of 0.5–2, volume above 0 and up to 10, and pitch adjustment from −12 to 12.
Audio for playback
Synchronous input is limited to text of fewer than 10,000 characters; for text exceeding 3000 characters, the manufacturer recommends incremental output. Model capabilities include MP3, WAV, FLAC and PCM; general settings also describe Opus and G.711 μ-law, with one or two audio channels.
This Ailoot card accepts text and returns speech. Turbo's speed concerns the variant's intended use; actual response duration and availability of extended formats depend on the selected access method.
Additional audio settings include sample rates of 8, 16, 22.05, 24, 32 and 44.1 kHz. MP3 provides bitrates of 32, 64, 128 or 256 kbps. Voice coloration can also be changed and one effect applied: spacious echo, hall echo, telephone sound or a robotic voice. Voice-modification effects are supported for MP3, WAV and FLAC when receiving the audio in full, and only for MP3 when streaming. G.711 μ-law formats use an 8 kHz sample rate. These capabilities belong to MiniMax's synthesis settings.
The manufacturer provides speech-text synchronization: sentence timestamps, word timestamps or word timestamps during incremental output. This result helps align speech with displayed text. This additional capability requires support for the corresponding response format.
