About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Solar Pro 3 is Upstage’s mixture-of-experts language model for complex written tasks and reasoning. Its producer specifies 102 billion total parameters and 12B active parameters per forward pass, with a 128,000-token context. Korean is a central language focus, alongside English and Japanese input and output. The published training-data cutoff is July 2025.
The manufacturer’s release emphasizes more precise instruction following and understanding user intent. For a complex query, provide the material to examine, the relevant constraints and the desired result. A useful answer applies those instructions to the supplied context rather than returning a general explanation of the subject.
For a multi-step analysis, identify the premises and the dependencies between steps. Ask for the conclusion with the evidence or calculations needed to assess it. A document task can compare passages, extract the relevant information or explain how a rule applies, with the important source material retained over follow-up turns.
The producer lists structured outputs, function calling and parallel calls among the model’s capabilities. The application supplies the functions and their arguments, executes the proposed calls and returns the results. A structured response organizes the model’s findings into defined fields, while the application still checks that the values correspond to the source and the task.
The current reasoning guide treats omitted effort as off for Solar Pro 3. Minimal and low also leave reasoning off, while medium and high enable the reasoning stage. This is different from the low-through-max mapping documented for Pro 4 and Mini 4. Reasoning uses output tokens before the final answer, so the request needs room for both stages.
For Korean-first work, state the audience and the terminology to preserve. English or Japanese output should likewise have an explicit target and style. A useful final artifact can be an explanation, a comparison note, structured information or proposed code with the relevant checks. Keep this Pro 3 edition distinct from later Solar Pro models and from the separate updates recorded within its own model line.
Practical task
Prepare a Korean-first customer note
Technical example in English
Prepare a Korean-first customer note
Translate this message into polite Korean for an office customer: “Your Atlas Desk order is ready for collection. Please bring reference AD-51. We have not arranged delivery.” Keep Atlas Desk and AD-51 unchanged, preserve the collection-versus-delivery distinction and return only the translated message without adding collection hours.Expected result
A polite Korean message retaining the product and reference strings and the original fulfillment facts.Check the result
Check that the message describes collection readiness and does not claim a delivery booking or invent opening hours.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions upstage/solar-pro-3
