About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
Solar Pro 4 is Upstage’s agent-focused model for document-based work, coding and business tasks. Its model card specifies a 512K context and up to 128K output tokens, with English, Korean and Japanese input and output and a February 2026 training-data cutoff. The producer does not disclose its parameter count.
The release is organized around completed work rather than an isolated answer. It describes reading documents, reconciling data across files, using tools and producing the deliverable. The producer’s OfficeVerse training pipeline creates office tasks from public data across eleven industry domains and twelve task types, with the final artifact assessed against the assignment.
One manufacturer example combines a policy document and six data files to review ten candidate locations. The connected workflow produces a five-sheet workbook, a review report and a slide deck in sequence, carrying the same figures from one artifact into the next. Prepare a similar task with the rules, data definitions and deliverables specified at the start; the surrounding application supplies the tools that create the files.
Evidence-grounded document work is another emphasis. Ask the model to identify the clause or passage that supports a finding, distinguish absent information and flag a discrepancy between documents. A useful report separates the sourced fact, its interpretation and any unresolved condition. A fluent answer does not fill a gap in the source material.
The model supports function calling and structured outputs. Define tools with their actual arguments, execute the requested call in the application and return its result. Use a schema when the output needs fixed fields and types, while keeping the extracted values tied to the evidence. Producer JSON mode and schema-constrained output are different output choices.
The current manufacturer reasoning guide leaves thinking off when effort is omitted. None and minimal keep it off; low, medium, high, xhigh and max enable it. When reasoning is on, its tokens share the output budget with the answer. Leave enough room for the final report or proposed code rather than allocating the entire generation to thought.
For a final deliverable, identify the completed artifact, the important figures or findings and the observations used to check them. Solar Pro 4 is distinct from Solar Pro 3 and the separately deployable Solar Open models. Its producer workflows show how text generation and connected tools combine; they do not make a file or an external action exist until the application actually creates or executes it.
Practical task
Reconcile a document-based office report
Technical example in English
Reconcile a document-based office report
Prepare report content from two text records. Policy P: every workshop needs a named facilitator and at least 12 seats. Schedule S: Room A, 16 seats, facilitator Kim; Room B, 10 seats, facilitator Lee; Room C, 20 seats, facilitator blank. Return a source-linked review table and a three-sentence management summary using the same findings. Do not claim to create files.Expected result
A three-room requirements table and a consistent management summary identifying capacity and missing-facilitator gaps.Check the result
The table and summary agree, and a blank facilitator is treated as missing rather than invented.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions upstage/solar-pro4
