voyage-3.5
voyage-3.5 turns a text string or list of strings into numerical embeddings through Ailoot. Use the returned index on every vector to connect an indexed passage with its source.
About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
voyage-3.5 is selected by its literal model ID at /v1/embeddings. Send model with input as one nonempty text string or a nonempty array of strings. Ailoot returns a synchronous JSON response containing indexed embedding arrays, the model field and usage information.
A retrieval application can prepare document passages, preserve their source IDs and associate each returned vector with data[].index. Keep a passage’s title or surrounding explanation with it when that material is needed to understand the text. Encode a search query using the same chosen model before comparing it with that collection in your application.
Retain every vector and the complete usage object, then verify that each submitted position has the expected result. Store the exact model ID with the collection and keep original passages available for display. This gives the search result a traceable source rather than leaving the numerical representation detached from its text.
