About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
MiMo-V2.5-Pro is Xiaomi’s large text-focused mixture-of-experts model for demanding agent work, complex software engineering and tasks that require many connected steps. The manufacturer describes 1.02 trillion total parameters, 42 billion active parameters and context of up to one million tokens. Its purpose is to maintain the task’s instructions and accumulated evidence while a supporting application supplies tools and returns their results.
The model combines sliding-window attention with global attention in a 6:1 pattern. The local window is 128 tokens, while global-attention layers connect information across the longer history. This is the attention architecture, not a 128-token restriction on the user’s input. The backbone has 70 layers and sparse expert routing, with eight routed experts selected per token. Three multi-token prediction modules are integrated into the training and inference design to support speculative decoding.
The maker describes pre-training on 27 trillion tokens, followed by supervised fine-tuning, domain-specialized reinforcement learning and multi-teacher on-policy distillation. The specialist teachers cover areas such as mathematics, safety and complex tool use, and the final stage brings their guidance into one model. That training focus supports the model’s role in long software and agent workflows; a concrete task still needs supplied requirements and a way to determine whether its result is complete.
For a software change, provide the relevant files, an observed error or requested behavior, the project’s conventions and the checks that matter. A useful instruction is to identify the affected behavior, propose a focused implementation, and explain how to verify both the desired case and a meaningful edge case. Preserve the exact identifiers used by the project. If the environment allows execution, return the actual check output rather than asking the model to assume that a plausible patch works.
For a longer agent task, keep a concise record of the goal, decisions already made and evidence returned by tools. State what each operation is allowed to change and what result would justify the next step. The model can help reason across those interactions and prepare the next request, but the surrounding application executes its operations. Retain errors and unresolved conditions in the final account so that an extended sequence does not hide a failed step behind a fluent explanation.
The large context can be useful for comparing implementations or synthesizing several substantial documents. Mark file and document boundaries, identify the sections the answer must use and state the required output format. For example, ask for a migration proposal that connects each affected component to a requirement and identifies missing information separately. Keep the supporting passages or code locations with the result so a reviewer can follow the reasoning back to its input.
Xiaomi’s published serving example uses a 1,048,576-token context configuration, while its summary describes the model as supporting up to 1M tokens. Leave space for generated text and accumulated tool history within the configuration in use. The maker recommends temperature 1.0 and top_p 0.95 for local inference. These are producer recipe details, not a guarantee that every application exposes identical controls or the same working window.
MiMo-V2.5-Pro is distinct from the native omnimodal MiMo-V2.5 sibling and the later V2.6 series. Use this edition for its documented language and agent task scope without borrowing another edition’s vision or audio contract. The final artifact can be a code proposal, implementation explanation or evidence-based analysis; check important calculations, requirements and tool outcomes against the material supplied for the task.
Practical task
Correct a two-stage validation flow
Technical example in English
Correct a two-stage validation flow
Trace this Python flow: validate.py: def valid(row): return bool(row.get('email')); import.py: accepted = [r for r in rows if valid(r) is not None]. A row without email is incorrectly accepted. Propose the smallest correction, retain valid's Boolean contract and supply cases for a missing email and a present email. Separate the proposal from executed checks.Expected result
A cross-file cause explanation, focused consumer patch and two regression cases.Check the result
The consumer must reject False rather than treating every non-None Boolean as accepted.Ailoot Ultra · OpenAI Chat POST /v1/chat/completions xiaomi/mimo-v2.5-pro
