Qwen: Qwen3.7 Flash

Qwen3.7 Flash is Qwen’s vision-language model family for text, images and video, returning text. The maker highlights stronger object recognition, spatial understanding, multimodal agent work and visual coding, with thinking enabled by default and an optional direct-answer mode.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

The Qwen3.7 Flash release

Qwen3.7 Flash is a native vision-language model family for text, image and video understanding with textual responses. The maker’s release describes stronger multimodal perception and agent execution compared with Qwen3.6 Flash. Its practical task scope includes recognizing objects, understanding a visual scene, reasoning about spatial relationships and preparing code or explanations from visual material.

The official release names both qwen3.7-flash and the dated qwen3.7-flash-2026-07-15. Retain the exact model name when recording a result: the undated Flash name does not identify a fixed manufacturer snapshot. No open-checkpoint parameter count or numerical representation is established by the release description used here.

Object recognition, real-world perception and space

Give a scene image with a concrete question: which object matters, what relationship should be examined and which visible details should support the answer. For a diagram, preserve labels and supply the definitions needed to interpret them. A useful output separates observations from inferred relationships, making it easier to compare the explanation with the source.

For several images, label each input and request a comparison organized by those labels. For video, identify the relevant event and preserve the sequence or timing information. Review exact counts, spatial measurements and frame-level observations against the supplied material.

Multimodal agents

The release highlights Search Agent and code-interpreter agent scenarios, with more stable multi-step execution. In such a workflow, the application supplies the permitted tools, performs their actions and returns their observations. The model can use those results to update its plan. Describe the goal and the condition for completion, and ask for a final artifact plus any unresolved evidence. The producer lists function calling, structured outputs, prefix completion and context caching. Web search is supported in Beijing and Singapore and unsupported in the other listed regional scopes. Batch inference is supported for the Beijing alias and unsupported elsewhere; fine-tuning is unsupported.

A model’s agent specialization should not be confused with built-in access to current sources or an execution environment in every interface. When a task requires retrieval or running code, distinguish the result returned by an actual tool from a proposed action in the model’s text. This description does not establish which tools another application exposes.

Visual coding

Qwen describes improved coding informed by visual material. A useful request can combine a screenshot or layout with functional requirements and ask for editable code. Specify the framework or output form, interaction states and constraints in the supplied task. Request the generated artifact separately from the explanation so it can be reviewed or rendered by the development workflow.

For an existing interface, identify the intended change and the relevant source context rather than ask for an unrelated redesign. The model can connect a visual requirement with a coding proposal; that proposal is not evidence that the interface has been rendered or behaves correctly. These task examples apply the maker’s visual-coding scope without adding an execution guarantee.

Thinking and direct responses

The maker’s supported-model guide lists Qwen3.7 Flash as a hybrid-thinking family with thinking enabled by default. Its documented hybrid workflow can disable thinking for a direct answer. Keep the reasoning output distinct from the final answer when an interface provides both. Controls for a separately named Qwen-Omni model or an open dense model should not be imported solely because they share the Qwen name.

Use deeper analysis for a visual question that connects several observations; request a direct result for a straightforward description. Specify a checkable final structure, such as an observation table, a concise conclusion or code files, rather than rely on answer length as a quality signal.

Limits and input preparation

Alibaba’s dedicated Qwen3.7-Flash page gives a 1,000,000-token context, maximum input of 991,808 tokens for direct responses or 983,616 for thinking, and maximum output of 131,072 in either mode. It separately lists a maximum chain-of-thought length of 262,144 tokens. Keep the relevant visual detail readable, trim unrelated material and reserve space for the required result. Check object labels, spatial inferences, extracted text and code proposals against the supplied evidence. The useful description is the maker’s specific perception, agent and visual-coding scope, with its hybrid response mode preserved.

Practical task

Check a spatial claim from a text grid

Technical example in English

Check a spatial claim from a text grid

Use this written grid description: the red box is at row 2, column 1; the blue box is at row 2, column 3; the green box is at row 1, column 3. Rows increase downward and columns increase rightward. Describe their relative positions and assess the claim that green is directly above red.

Expected result

A relative-position description and a supported assessment of the claim, citing grid coordinates.

Check the result

Check that directly above requires the same column and that the stated row direction is respected.
