Recraft: Recraft V4 Vector

Recraft V4 Vector creates editable SVG logos, illustrations and graphic assets from a creative brief. It is the standard vector edition of V4, with scalable geometry, optional style references and a separately documented image-to-image workflow.

About the model

This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.

Recraft V4 Vector is the standard SVG-producing edition of Recraft V4. It is designed for graphics that depend on clear shapes, colour regions and composition, including logos, icon systems and illustrations. The manufacturer describes V4 as a design-focused family with strong prompt interpretation across both raster and vector work. This edition’s deliverable is editable SVG artwork that can be adjusted in a design workflow, rather than a PNG or WebP bitmap.

The exact model is recraftv4_vector, separate from V4 Pro Vector and the raster V4 variants. The producer size guide permits fourteen width-to-height ratios for vector output and explicitly says SVG has no fixed pixel dimensions. Select the shape of the asset with an aspect ratio, then choose its placement and display size in the final design. The raster V4 model’s 1K label does not define the resolution of this SVG variant.

V4’s vector guidance recommends defining graphic type, shape logic, colour system, line discipline and layout. For a small icon, name the object and the silhouette that makes it recognisable. For an illustration system, keep the line and fill rules stable across briefs. For a delivery icon, request an outlined van with rounded corners, one large parcel shape and a restrained palette, centred within a square composition. Describe the geometry rather than adding photographic surface detail when a flat graphic is the intended result.

Generation supports prompts up to 10,000 characters, a random seed, one to six images and preferred-colour and background-colour controls. Optional compatible styles or reference images can guide the visual language with flexible or precise matching. A reference does not replace instructions about the new subject or layout. Use one clear asset or a coherent set of references; exact colour matching to a reference is not guaranteed. For reference-style generation, use one to ten PNG, JPG or WebP images, no more than 64 MB in total and under 20 MB each. Each reference needs a shortest side of at least 256 pixels, a longest side of no more than 4,096 pixels and a resolution of no more than 16 megapixels. Use either these references or a compatible saved style, rather than both.

A separate image-to-image workflow can use a V4 vector model to produce SVG from an existing image and a text change request. The required strength setting ranges from 0 to 1: lower values stay closer to the source, while higher values permit greater change. The operation accepts PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG within the documented size and resolution limits, and does not accept V4 style controls. That distinction matters when choosing whether an image should supply the content to transform or just the visual treatment for a new asset. For image-to-image, supply PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG under 20 MB, no more than 16 megapixels, with both sides between 256 and 4,096 pixels.

The current V4 generation reference excludes curated style names, negative_prompt, text_layout, artistic_level and no_text. Put the intended structure and wording in the positive brief. For a logo or lettering result, inspect the SVG at small and large sizes for spacing, legibility and unintended details. Specify the typographic hierarchy and geometric shapes explicitly, then finish and place the vector asset according to the design brief.

Through Ailoot, select this exact model ID in /v1/images/generations and supply the creative prompt. Retain every returned data entry, whether the response carries a URL or encoded image content, and save the actual bytes with their returned content type. Keep usage and any media task_id with the asset, then review its shapes, lettering and colour regions in the intended design.

How the final charge is calculated

The displayed rates estimate the cost before generation. The final charge is calculated from the cost recorded for the original generation. Measured output duration and forecast quantities are not the final billable quantity.

Tariff references do not add request options. Supported parameters are listed for the selected method.
