About the model
This description covers the model’s capabilities. Available in Ailoot inputs, outputs and options are listed for the selected method below.
An image from a detailed prompt
GPT Image 1.5 is an OpenAI model for creating images from text descriptions. The manufacturer highlights instruction following and processing of detailed prompts: scene content, composition, object appearance and the required style can be specified. The image method's result is a finished image.
In Ailoot, this card concerns generation with text input. OpenAI also describes the model's work with source images, editing and changes to individual regions. These capabilities require separate visual-input support and are not included in the text-based generation method specified here.
In a separately provided OpenAI editing operation, a mask serves as guidance: an exact match between the result and its contours is not guaranteed. This operation needs support for supplying a source image; the current Ailoot card still concerns generation with text input.
Three frame shapes and quality settings
Square 1024x1024, landscape 1536x1024 and portrait 1024x1536 sizes are provided, along with automatic selection. Arbitrary sizes from other models should not be applied to this version.
Quality levels are low, medium, high and auto. Quality selection affects processing volume and result detail. Quality and size are different settings: frame orientation determines the compositional space, while quality determines how it is generated. xhigh and max are not declared for GPT Image 1.5.
File format and background
The result is PNG by default; JPEG and WebP are also provided. Compression can be set for JPEG and WebP. This output-file setting differs from generation quality.
The manufacturer provides transparent and opaque backgrounds, and automatic selection. Transparency requires PNG or WebP: JPEG does not retain an alpha channel. A transparent background is useful when the image needs to be used as a separate object in a later composition. Support for particular parameters needs to be considered alongside the selected method.
Text and composition need checking
The model can include text in an image and assemble a scene from several elements, but precise placement of text and objects is not guaranteed. Consistency of a character's appearance or design across separate generations also needs checking.
A complex image may take longer to generate than a simple one; according to OpenAI, some complex tasks may take up to two minutes. Both a complete source description and examination of the finished image matter: text readability, detail placement and conformity to the specified scene are assessed from the file itself.
